Setting a catch-all email address Print

  • 2

Note: This tutorial assumes that you are already logged into cPanel, and that you do not use Office 365 for your emails.

A catch-all email address sends all unrouted emails (i.e. emails sent to an address that doesn't exist) to a certain location. By default this is set to just delete emails received, returning an error to the sender. If you want you can set all of these emails to come to a certain address. To do this:

  1. Go to Default Addresses (under Mail Section)
  2. Choose your domain (if you host more than one domain) from the Send all unrouted email for: dropdown
  3. Choose Forward to email address
  4. Enter a valid email address in the Forward to email address: field

All unrouted emails will now be forwarded to the specified account.
